How to you verify the Sellers?

a)     All cereals and Legume sellers must have Warehouse Receipts from Warehouses Accredited by the East African Grain Council or the Uganda Commodity Exchange, or be members of a participating smallholder farming program.

b)    All Horticultural produce sellers must be members of a participating Coperative, program or verified by Afrwood Wakulima Market ® for sell while crop is standing. The Sellers may also have warehouse receipts from climate controlled warehouses for horticultural products.

"How do you verify the buyers?

a)     Afrwood Wakulima Markets® requires buyers to pay the annual platform fees through their Bank Account, Credit Card or Mobile Money Account that is linked to a bank account.

b)    Afrwood Wakulima Market® requires the buyers to decide which produce they buy and provide bank guarantee for the average amount of trades the carry out over seven day running period OR Deposit the equivalent amount to a client trust account

c)     On initial Application the buyers may be required to provide additional information including trade referees before they are allowed to bid

 Do you have minimum Qty / Quality of commodities?

a)     Afrwood Wakulima Market ® recommends market lots of 20tons but may allow lesser tradable quantities are verified by Warehouse Receipts or by physical inspection on the farm for those products sold while standing. Warehouses accept only grade 1 and 2 Dry Maize. Grade 1 Beans.

 

What are Afrwood Wakulima Market® target crops

b)    Our target crops are those followed by the Ministry of Agriculture Kenya with others to follow as their impotance in the economies grow: The following are currently targeted, we have coded them the first three digits is the Market quantity , the next three is the class and crop, while the last three before the copyright sign is the weight of the init i.e 222CDM090© means 222 bags of cereals Dry maize in 90kg.
