Gloria Amakobe
Vice-President
Born and raised in the fertile lands of Bungoma, Western Kenya, where maize is especially abundant, issues of agriculture and agronomy were never foreign to Gloria.
Her most enlightening exposure to the lives of farmers and people who worked the land came after two years of high school in Kampala, Uganda. At 16, she worked for her Uncle on his commercial farm in Embu, Kenya, picking coffee beans alongside hundreds of other villagers. She gained valuable insight on the dynamics of division of labor among the workers and was also made privy to the processes of cultivating and manufacturing coffee beans and other minor crops.
Gloria completed her high school education at William Penn high school in New Castle and is presently attending the University of Delaware. Her major studies are Mathematics and Economics. Gloria has worked at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Elkton, Maryland where she was entrusted the responsibility of training incoming employees and coaching them in the ways of admirable work habits and remarkable customer service.
She is also actively assisting a faculty member with his research at the University of Delaware’s Mathematics Department. She serves as the Vice President of African Wood Inc, working with the Honorable Company Treasurer on member issues and client relations
